AI Trust & Governance
At Tastewise, we are committed to using AI in a responsible, ethical, and trustworthy manner. Responsible AI is embedded into how we design, build, and operate our platform, with a strong focus on transparency, security, privacy, and human oversight.
Tastewise does not use customer data to train AI models and operates in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001 information security standards.
How Tastewise Uses AI
Tastewise provides an AI-powered, self-service platform for food & beverage brands and foodservice organizations. Our AI capabilities analyze large volumes of publicly available data to generate insights that support consumer and market intelligence, sales enablement, product innovation, positioning, and strategic human decision-making.
Our AI systems are designed to support business decisions, not to make decisions autonomously.
Human-Centric Design
Tastewise AI tools are designed to support – not replace – human judgment. All insights are reviewed and interpreted by users within the customer’s organization, who remain fully responsible for decisions based on AI-generated outputs. Human-in-the-loop oversight is maintained at all times.
Transparency
We strive to be transparent about the role of AI in our platform and communicate clearly about the capabilities and limitations of our AI features, enabling customers to understand how AI supports their workflows.
Data Privacy & Security
Tastewise is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified. We process data in secure, controlled environments and apply privacy-by-design and security-by-default principles across the platform. Our practices comply with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and CPRA.
Tastewise enforces tenant-level data isolation through logical separation and strict access controls, ensuring customers can only access data within their own environment.
Tastewise processes only minimal user personal data required for platform access and support, consistent with standard SaaS practices.
Use of Data for AI
Tastewise does not train AI models on customer data. AI models are trained using publicly available data sources only.
Ownership & Use of AI Outputs
Customers receive a broad license to use AI-generated outputs as part of their business activities. Full details on ownership and usage rights, including where third-party generative AI is used, are set out in our Terms of Service.”
Fairness, Bias & Reliability
We regularly assess AI performance and apply mitigation measures where appropriate to reduce the risk of bias or unintended outcomes.
Governance & Compliance
Responsible AI at Tastewise is supported by cross-functional oversight involving Legal, Product, R&D, and Security. AI use cases are reviewed throughout their lifecycle, and our internal policies governing AI development and use are continuously reviewed and improved.
Third-Party AI & Infrastructure
Tastewise relies on leading enterprise cloud providers and carefully selected AI technology partners, all subject to legal, security, and compliance review. Where third-party generative AI tools are used (for example, for image generation), we choose only trusted, market-leading providers with strong industry safeguards and integrate them with appropriate controls. Customer data is never shared for third-party model training or reuse.
EU AI Act Alignment
Under the EU AI Act’s risk-based approach, Tastewise is classified as minimal risk because our AI is used for business insights and decision support – not regulated or sensitive use cases. Our AI operates with human-in-the-loop oversight, does not make decisions about individuals, and does not process sensitive personal data, while outputs are monitored for accuracy and reliability.
Continuous Improvement
Responsible AI is an ongoing process, and Tastewise regularly reviews and improves its AI practices.
